Chief Operating Officer

Department: VCI - Sales
Location: Los Angeles, CA

The COO is an essential part of VCI Inc's (a subsidiary of Commercial Bank of California) future, through participation in developing and executing strategy; development and measurement of quantifiable strategy goals and promoting growth and innovation. Effectively communicate the strengths and weakness of VCI and how to capitalize on this information. Continuously assess the potential economic, systematic and execution risk of each activity of the company. Provide leadership and oversee all activities pertaining to Operations including but not limited to business development, client activity.

 DUTIES:

  • Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve processes
  • Develops and stewards organization-wide strategic planning and implementation; establishes operational processes/process improvement; sets operational and/or performance goals for each department which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals; facilitates conflict resolution; and serves as lead in high-priority cases and crises
  • Acts as a lead client-care officer through consistent and direct contact with partners (ISOs) and high- value customers
  • Foster a success-orientated, accountable environment within Vericheck through consistent reiterations of focus on company goals, especially those governing department success
  • Collaborate with management ream to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate company growth objective
  • Communicate and work effectively with Board and other key constituents in advocating for VCI’s interests plans and strategies
  • Evaluates newly implemented sales plans
  • Promotes communication between colleagues for the benefit of information flow and to curb any problems that arise
  • Contribute to creation, implementation and tracking of sales objective. Lends time to address escalated concern from pending customers and/or sales staff
  • Provides customer retention support
  • Expansion of profit margin and revenue enhancement
  • Develop new line of business and cross selling of VCI Inc products
  • Strategic evaluation of acquisition targets

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education/Training/Experience:

 Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years- of progressively responsible experience in supervisory and management positions.
  • Working knowledge of ACH and NACH rules
  • Experience with managing a team related to Payments industry

 Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred or in related field with 5 plus years equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 7 years-experience
